It was a normal fall day: cool and damp.  I walked through the orchard nestled in the valley.  The sky overhead was cloud covered, but not dense enough to hinder the light.  I happened to glance up at the western sky as I neared the end of the orchard, and I stopped.  What I saw literally took away my breath.
